[Sesame Bean Salad with Asian Flavour]

Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs. fresh green beans. tops trimmed
- 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce (I used Kikkoman brand) .
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tsp-granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- hot Asian-style chili sauce to taste
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds, lightly toasted (see Note)
Directions
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the beans and cook |
2. until crisp/tender, about 90 seconds. Drain the beans well, cool in ice-cold water, and drain well again. |
3. Combine the remaining ingredients, except 1 tsp of the sesame seeds, in a bowl. (The beans can be blanched; and the dressing prepared, several hours in advance of serving. Keep both refrigerated until ready to toss together.) |
4. Add the beans to the dressing and toss to coat. Let the beans steep in the dressing 20 minutes. Arrange the beans on a platter, sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds and serve. |

Notes
To toast the sesame seeds, place them in a non-stick skillet. Set over medium heat and cook, swirling the pan from time to time, until lightly toasted, about 5 minutes.
