Pre-heat oven to 350º F. Place ribs, meaty side up - in single layer in baking pan. Sprinkle with the five-spice powder and salt. Pour in the chicken stock. Cover and bake 90 minutes, or until the ribs are tender. Uncover and brush the top of the ribs with the hoisin sauce-sprinkle with the sesame seeds. Bake, uncovered, 15-20 minutes, or until nicely glazed and the sesame seeds are lightly toasted.

Notes

Five spice powder:
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp crushed aniseed or 1 star anise, ground
1/4 tsp crushed fennel seed
1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper or 1/4 tsp Szechwan pepper
1/8 tsp ground cloves
